Havant and East Hants Mind are very happy to announce yet another fundraising effort for the charity delivered once more by Victory Running Club.
Chairman of HEH Mind Mr David Childs-Hopkins (Left) and Development Manager Ross Borman (Centre) received a cheque for £200 raised by members at a recent event. The cheque was presented by Beth Pirie, Chair of Victory Running Club, and supported by club members including Cathy Beresford, one of Victory’s two mental health ambassadors.
Chair David Childs-Hopkins formally thanked the club for their ongoing support. Ever keen to look at development opportunities, Ross Borman promised to share Victory’s great example of training mental health ambassadors far and wide, using their story to encourage other sports and community groups to follow suit. “The funds raised will certainly help us to do this” Ross explained. “Promoting mental health is for everyone – not just for so called mental health experts. Having people who are connected and understand how to promote good mental health, where to get advice and support or make it safe for people to talk more openly about mental health is vital for our community”.
Once again we thank Victory AC for their generosity and commitment.
