On 22 October 2017, Paul Murray and Amy O’Connell, of Paul Murray Investments took to the streets of Portsmouth to take part in the Great South Run, in aid of local charity Havant and East Hants Mind. Paul Murray Investments were able to raise around £700 for their chosen charity.
Havant and East Hants Mind work to promote good mental health within the local area, seeking to support and empower people to lead a full life as part of their local community.
Speaking of their fundraising efforts, Paul Murray says, “it was a pleasure to raise money for such a worthy cause. Our main purpose here at Paul Murray Investments is to be of service to the local community and this seemed to be the perfect opportunity to give something back. We would like to thank everyone who kindly donated. We raised £1000 last year with a sponsored yoga event, so as you can imagine, it was not as relaxing this time round! We will continue to think of new and inventive ways to raise money to help support local children’s and adult’s mental health.”
Havant and East Hants Mind explained, “we are incredibly grateful to these brave and fit individuals for their support and for championing our cause in the community. Donning their Havant and East Hants Mind T-shirts and raising funds from their local community they have also done a great job in raising awareness of our work and the need for our services in the community. Battling very windy conditions with no regard for hurricane Brian- a medal just isn’t enough as far as we are concerned”
