Leading the Way with National Workplace Wellbeing Award
Havant and East Hants Mind has made history as the first local Mind organisation in England, Wales and the Channel Islands to achieve the prestigious “Mind Enhanced Quality Award” for it’s Workplace Wellbeing Services. This landmark recognition celebrates the organisation’s dedicated work in supporting mental health and wellbeing in workplaces.
Anna Zakotti, Workplace Wellbeing and Training Manager at Havant and East Hants Mind, shared insights on the organisation’s journey; “Earlier this year, we were selected as one of six local Minds to partner with National Mind, focusing on delivering workplace wellbeing and training support to larger companies, businesses, and charities across England, Wales and the Channel Islands. Through this partnership, we have collaborated closely to shape a quality assurance framework for workplace wellbeing and training standards that can benefit Mind organisations nationwide.”
The pilot program has proven successful, with Havant and East Hants Mind providing training to hundreds of staff members across over 20 workplaces, garnering overwhelmingly positive feedback. Anna Zakotti acknowledged Al Bell from National Mind for her instrumental role in supporting this initiative, “We’d like to thank Al Bell for her fabulous support, which has helped our partnership run so smoothly, as well as our five other partner organisations (Mind in Mid Herts, Hammersmith, Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind, Newport, Norfolk & Waveney Mind and Leeds Mind). This award is a testament to their dedication and the collective effort put into this project.”
Havant and East Hants Mind plans to display the Mind Enhanced Quality Award on its website and email banners, a proud reminder of the impact of their pioneering work in workplace mental health.
The organisation’s work underlines a growing commitment across sectors to prioritise mental health and wellbeing, recognising the critical role that supportive workplace environments play in overall staff wellbeing and productivity.
