“The Mental Elf Fun Run and Walk is about more than just having fun, though it is about that too!” said Emma Strong, Fundraising Lead at Havant and East Hants Mind. “It’s an opportunity to come together as a community to celebrate mental health awareness, encourage physical activity, and spread festive cheer, all while supporting our mission to keep free to access mental health and wellbeing services available to people across South and East Hampshire”.

“With so much going on in the world these days it’s important not only to remember to take the time to protect your mental health but to actually make sure you do it!” Jon, Delivered Social (Mental Elf Sponsor).

How to Get Involved

Participants are encouraged, if they are able to, to raise additional funds by seeking sponsorship/ fundraising from friends, family, and colleagues.

For those unable to attend, donations can be made via https://www.easthantsmind.org/get-involved/donations/

Mental Elf is a concept that was started by our friends at Lancashire Mind over a decade ago; this year over 30 local Minds across England, Wales and the Channel Islands will be taking part in Mental Elf this November and December.

As the festive season approaches, Mental Elf not only promotes the benefits of physical activity, but it connects people and will give you that warm and fuzzy feeling knowing that you’re helping us to raise vital funds for your local mental health charity.
