Young People's Volunteer
- Are you passionate about supporting mental health and working with young people? Are you looking for an opportunity to gain experience?
- We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team as Volunteer Wellbeing Practitioners. This role would involve supporting our crisis service Children & Young People’s Safe Haven and our youth club style drop-in Lighthouse Project. You will be responsible for facilitating games, arts and crafts and other wellbeing activities in our group room with young people between 11 and 17 years old alongside permanent staff.
- Travel expenses will be reimbursed and full training and support will be provided.

Family Wellbeing Volunteer
- Are you looking for an opportunity to work with families in the local area?
- Would you like to develop your skills and experience whilst supporting families to participate in activities designed to improve their wellbeing?
- The Havant and East Hants Mind Family Wellbeing Team are working with families in the area to support improved mental health for the whole family. Our family support practitioners use a variety of methods to engage with families.
- We have volunteer vacancies within our Family Wellbeing Team working on our Active Families Programme in Leigh Park.

Community (Events, Fundraising and Communications) Volunteer
We’re looking for volunteers to help us raise awareness of local services and support, reduce stigma around mental health and support fundraising. Your role can be flexible depending on your skills, experience and interests. We currently have three Volunteer roles available they are:
Digital (Social Media and Content Creator) Volunteer:
- Working alongside Community Team colleagues, you will be supporting and promoting our services, fundraising events, volunteer and job opportunities across our social media platforms, alongside assisting in managing multi-media platform marketing campaigns. This role may also involve liaising with event organisers, community figures and members of the public. This hybrid-based volunteer role would require weekly commitment, for a minimum of 6 months.
Events and Fundraising Volunteer:
- Working alongside Community Team colleagues to attend and organise community events and with fundraising activities to support the sustainability and growth of our services. This role involves liaising with the team at HEH Mind and externally with event organisers, community figures and members of the public. This hybrid-based volunteer role would require weekly commitment, for a minimum of 6 months.
Event Volunteer:
- Working alongside Community Team colleagues to deliver a specific event and fundraising ask. This role involves being part of the ‘on the day’ Team supporting with event setup, welcoming and guiding event attendees, event delivery and pack up. This in person volunteer role would require some communication prior to the event and on the day attendance.

Trustee Team
Our Board of Trustees are responsible for overseeing all of the work we do as a charity. The Board is made up of individual Trustees, all of whom bring their particular skills, knowledge and expertise to ensuring that our organisation is running efficiently, effectively and to the high standards expected as a registered charity and company. This includes
- Operating within our constitution
- Within the current financial regulations
- Always within the spirit of our mission
The Trustee Board is Responsible for
- Working together with our service users and others to develop our business plan
- Ensuring the plan is delivered
- Making key strategic decisions to take Havant and East Hampshire Mind forward.
- The Trustee Board meets 11 times a year with Sub Committee meetings in between.
Trustee Recruitment
- We always welcome new Trustees enquiries. To be recruited you will need to be voted onto the Board and undergo an induction and orientation process. All Trustees must comply with the fit and proper persons test and declare any conflict of interests in line with Charity Commission guidelines.
