People volunteer for many different reasons. It can offer the chance to give back to a community or service, it can also be to provide an opportunity to develop new skills. Whatever your motivation is it is likely you are looking for an opportunity that is both challenging and rewarding. We regularly have a number of volunteering opportunities, some will require weekly hours, others may only be a one time event; read through our available opportunities and contact our Volunteer Co-ordinator if you have any queries.
To let you know a little more about our opportunities and our Volunteering Team we have asked our volunteers why they volunteer with us and what they get from the experience. Here are some of their answers:
Are you passionate about supporting mental health and working with young people? Are you looking for an opportunity to gain experience?
We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team as Volunteer Wellbeing Practitioners. This role would involve supporting our crisis service Children & Young People’s Safe Haven and our youth club style drop-in Lighthouse Project. You will be responsible for facilitating games, arts and crafts and other wellbeing activities in our group room with young people between 11 and 17 years old alongside permanent staff.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed and full training and support will be provided.

Are you looking for an opportunity to work with families in the local area?
Would you like to develop your skills and experience whilst supporting families to participate in activities designed to improve their wellbeing?
The Havant and East Hants Mind Family Wellbeing Team are working with families in the area to support improved mental health for the whole family. Our family support practitioners use a variety of methods to engage with families.
We have volunteer vacancies within our Family Wellbeing Team working on our Active Families Programme in Leigh Park.
